How Much Time Do You Have?
Most lunch advice starts with food. We start with your clock. Pick the row that matches your break and go.
You Have 30 Minutes
Do not sit down. Order ahead and pick it up on your way. Your food is bagged and ready when you walk in.
Order this: chicken momos, vegetable momos, or a chicken salad. All three travel well and eat fast.
You Have About an Hour
This is the sweet spot. Sit down, get a hot plate, and still make your next meeting.
Order this: chicken biryani or butter chicken with garlic naan. One plate, no sharing needed, no leftovers to carry.
You Have a Long Lunch
Bring someone. Start with appetizers, share a few mains, and stay for happy hour at 2:00 PM.
Order this: drums of heaven to start, then a tandoori platter and a bread basket for the table.
The Food
What to Order for a Weekday Lunch
Our menu is long. That is great at dinner and hard at noon. So here is the short list, sorted by what you are in the mood for.
Light and Fast
You want to eat and still feel awake at 2:00 PM. Go with lentil soup, a green salad, or a chicken salad. Momos are the other smart pick. They are steamed dumplings, seven to an order, and they come out quick.
One Plate, Big Flavor
Biryani is the classic one plate lunch. It is basmati rice cooked with saffron and spice, plus chicken, lamb, or vegetables. Chicken fried rice and chicken chow mein work the same way. No sides needed.
If you want a curry, butter chicken and chicken tikka masala are the two most ordered. Add garlic naan and you are set. Here is what goes into our curries.
Plant Based Picks
A lot of our menu is vegan or vegetarian without changing a thing. Try chana masala, yellow dal tadka, mushroom curry, or tofu saag curry. Many curries and tandoori dishes are gluten free too. See the full vegan and gluten free guide.
Mild for Picky Eaters
Worried the food is too spicy? You choose the heat. Every dish is cooked mild, medium, or hot. Just tell your server. Malai kofta, korma, and butter chicken are mild by nature. Learn how our spice blends work.
Feeding a Team
Lunch for the Whole Office
Office lunch is hard for one reason. Everyone eats differently. One person is vegan. One person hates spice. One person forgot to answer the group text.
Indian food solves that better than most menus do. You order a few large trays, set them out, and people build their own plate. Nobody gets stuck with a sad side salad.
A Simple Office Lunch Order
- One meat curry, like butter chicken or chicken tikka masala
- One vegan curry, like chana masala or mixed veggie masala
- One rice, like vegetable biryani or basmati steam rice
- A bread basket with naan for the table
- Samosas or pakora to start
That combo covers meat eaters, vegans, and gluten free guests in one drop off. We cater groups of 10 or more across Temecula, Murrieta, Wildomar, Menifee, and Lake Elsinore.

Around Town
Where Else to Eat Lunch in Temecula
We are not the only good lunch in this town, and pretending otherwise helps nobody. If you are not in the mood for Indian food today, here is where locals go. Check hours before you drive over, since they change.
Old Town Temecula
Old Town is the walkable pick. Park once and choose when you get there. The Goat and Vine does wood fired pizza, salads, and sandwiches. 1909 is the gastropub option with burgers and a big patio. Old Town gets busy at noon on weekends, so weekdays are easier.
Vail Headquarters and Temecula Parkway
South side of town, near the 79. The Local Provisions serves sandwiches and burgers in the Vail Headquarters courtyard. Good if you want to eat outside and stretch your legs after.
Margarita Road and the Promenade
This is our side of town. It is the fastest lunch stop if you work near the mall or the medical offices. The business parks off Ynez are close too. You are minutes from your desk. That is the whole reason people eat lunch here on a weekday.
We are at 41653 Margarita Rd, Suite 104. Get driving directions, opens in a new tab.
A Local Tip
Why Weekday Lunch Beats Weekend Lunch
Temecula fills up on weekends. Wine country brings visitors, Old Town gets packed, and wait times climb. Monday through Thursday is a different town.
You Get a Table
No waitlist, no hovering by the door. Walk in and sit down.
Food Comes Out Faster
A quieter kitchen is a quicker kitchen. That matters when your break is short.
Parking Is Easy
Our lot is free and right out front. No circling, no meters, no hills.
Happy Hour Starts at 2
If your lunch runs late, house wine and draft beer are waiting.
